May 25, 2003 Navy protecting oil tankers in Gulf ON BOARD INS MUMBAI: The Indian Navy has begun deploying its ships in the Persian Gulf and northern Arabian Sea to secure the country's oil supplies, Rear Admiral Vijay Shankar said on Thursday.
