Trans-Siberian road loan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is set to
consider lending Russia $290 million to finance the completion
of a Trans-Siberian highway linking Moscow with the Pacific coast,
news agency Interfax reported on March 5.
EBRD's board of directors is expected to decide on the loan in
June 2003, said Russia's First Deputy Transport
