March 29, 2004 Moeller-Maersk wants to double share of global shipping market, buy up rivals COPENHAGEN - AP Moeller-Maersk, the world's biggest container shipper, wants to more than double its share of the global shipping market through acquisitions, the Politiken reported, citing a company executive. AP Moeller's container shipping unit, Maersk Sealand, has a 12-per-cent market share and wants to boost that to as much as 25 per cent, the daily said.
