October 5, 2004 Malaysian ports see 11.7 pct more container handling in 2004 KUALA LUMPUR Oct 4 - Transport Minister, Datuk Sri Chan Kong Choy, Monday said that Malaysian ports are projected to handle 11.7 percent more containers this year compared with 2003. "Based on the total number of containers handled for the last eight months of this year at 7.6 million twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs), we estimate that Malaysian ports will handle around 11.5 million TEUs," he said ......
