June 2, 2005 Port Authority hit with $2.1B WTC suit Insurer's suit opposes agency's request for more money to rebuild commercial space at WTC site NEW YORK (Reuters) - A group of insurers sued the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Thursday over the agency's claim that it is owed $2.1 billion to help rebuild part of New York's World Trade Center. A group of 10 syndicates at the Lloyd's insurance market and eight other insurance companies filed the complaint in federal court Thursday.
