Stiff competition from Asian shipyards with lower operating costs is threatening to close A.P. Møller-Mærsk’s shipyards at Lindø, Mærsk’s chairman Michael Pram Rasmussen said Monday. He said the only way to keep the plant open was if employees found a way to increase productivity.
Lindø, which opened in 1959, employs 2,750 workers and is part of Odense Steel Shipyard Ltd
