SINGAPORE's international maritime centre ambitions took another big step closer to reality following another year of solid growth across all sectors, according to statistics released yesterday by the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore.
- Shipping lines to raise rates for scrap metal
HAPAG-Lloyd AG, China Ocean Shipping Co and nine other shipping lines plan to increase rates for moving scrap metal to Asia from the US because of strong demand from China and other countries.
