- Sops for ship builders may stay afloat for 5 more years

- NEW DELHI/MUMBAI: Shipbuilders such as Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
and Bharti Shipyard may get a shot in the arm with the ministry of
shipping, road transport and highways planning to extend the 30%
subsidy to shipbuilding companies by five years. The ministry is
likely to forward a Cabinet note to this effect soon. The subsidy
scheme expired last month and the ministry is keen to revive it.
