Jan 23 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on the government to take measures that would make Russian ports better equipped to compete with foreign ones. "I talked with the prime minister on the development of ports today," Putin said at a meeting with Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, and Transportation Minister Igor Levitin on Tuesday. "We have reverted to this issue a lot of times, and the government lacks unanimity on it so far," he said.
