- Aussie luxury boat builder sets up S'pore unit
Joining the growing number of luxury yacht brands that are setting up dealerships in the Singapore market, R Marine, the retail arm of Australia's largest luxury boat builder Riviera, is launching its Singapore dealership today to coincide with the Boat Asia show. It is the company's first dealership in South-east Asia.
- Daewoo Shipbuilding to develop Oman port city
Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has signed an agreement with the government of Oman to develop tourism in Duqm, a port city about 450 kilometres south of Muscat.
- Hyundai Heavy's March orders up 42% to US$2.5b
Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world's largest shipbuilder, said that March orders increased 42 per cent, helped by demand for new vessels to transport fuel and consumer goods.
