- Malta Maritime Authority wants more yacht marinas

- The Malta Maritime Authority (MMA) has made a number of
proposals for the creation of more yacht marinas to meet growing
demand, Infrastructure Minister Austin Gatt said in a meeting on
Tuesday.

He said that, while there are only 1500 current berths, there was a
demand for at least another 500. In fact, demand for permanent
berths is growing by 100 a year, plus demand for another 150 berths
per year for temporary berthing
