ARRIVA IL CAPT PETER A DARE IMPULSO AI SERVIZI PER I DEPERIBILI DELLA MAERSK-HAMBURG SÜD

L'integrazione della flotta containerizzata reefer della Hamburg Süd in quella della società-madre Maersk sembra che sia stata ultimata in data odierna, in seguito all'annuncio del vettore tedesco di stare offrendo a tutti i caricatori di prodotti deperibili il sistema RCM (gestione da remoto dei contenitori) della Maersk.

La flotta refrigerata combinata dei due vettori, comprese le partecipate Sealand, Safmarine e Alianca, è ora di 380.000 unità, tutte assistite dallo RCM.

E la Maersk oggi ha annunciato di avere pubblicato una piattaforma RCM rinnovata, caratterizzata da un'applicazione di assistente virtuale, il Captain Peter, sviluppata congiuntamente ad alcuni dei suoi maggiori caricatori di deperibili, fra cui la Dole, la Fyffes e la Wiskerke Onions.

"Nel corso degli ultimi due anni, il nostro prodotto RCM si è dimostrato di buon valore per i nostri clienti reefer, ma abbiamo anche individuato fondamentali aree di miglioramento per tale strumento di visibilità del carico" afferma Ken West, direttore sviluppo digitale reefer alla Maersk.

"Con il Captain Peter, stiamo notevolmente innalzando il livello della pratica lavorativa con i dati dei clienti e gettando le fondamenta per l'offerta di caratteristiche ancora più avanzate al riguardo" ha aggiunto.

Uno sviluppo essenziale sono le relazioni sulle eccezioni: l'applicazione "tiene d'occhio la temperatura, l'umidità ed il livello di CO2 del container ed invia una notifica al cliente se qualcosa richiede la sua attenzione".

Afferma la Hamburg Süd: "Il valore aggiunto dell'uso dello RCM consiste nel fatto che esso mette i clienti in condizione di utilizzare questi dati per monitorare meglio la loro filiera distributiva al fine di renderla molto più efficiente ed affidabile e di sfruttare di conseguenza il grande potenziale di risparmio sui costi.

Una speciale caratteristica consiste nel fatto che i dati dei sensori del carico per il trattamento a freddo sono disponibili online".

Chayenne Wiskerke, direttore generale della Wiskerke Onions, è stato uno dei primi clienti della piattaforma RCM e dichiara: "Ho scelto la Maersk ed il Captain Peter rispetto ad altri perché posso vedere che cosa succede al mio carico.

Non potete immaginare il mio dolore che provo quando non posso vedere che cosa sta accadendo nel corso del viaggio".
