- Strong growth of all types of traffic in the port of Genoa
- In January, the airport has handled 4.3 million tonnes of cargo (+15.0%)
 Last month, the traffic of goods in the port of Genoa has grown by 15.0% to 4,308,260 tonnes compared to 3,746,167 tons handled in 2010 (the month in which traffic was reduced by 7.5% on January 2009 ).
- The cargo totaled 2,091,456 tons (+12.2%), of which 1,457,055 tons of containerized cargo (+13.3%) and 634,401 tonnes of conventional cargo (+9.6%). The container traffic in terms of units from 20 feet amounted to 144,679 TEU (+14.8%).
- The dry bulk traffic was 123,814 tonnes (+11.7%) in addition to 294,041 tonnes (+76.1%) of dry bulk and steel industry. Mineral oils rose by 10.5% to 1,617,191 tonnes, and other bulk liquids totaled 79,662 tons (+42.8%). Bunker supplies and board amounted to 102,096 tonnes (+20.5%).
- In the area of passenger traffic was 124,721 units (-0.9%), of which 84,718 to the ferry terminal (+1.7%) and 40,003 at the cruise terminal (-5.9%).
