- Last month, the traffic of goods in the port of Venice grew by 8 3%
- Increase cargo (+12.8%) and liquid bulk cargo (+26.5%). Decline of the cargo (-26.7%)
 Last month, the traffic of goods in the port of Venice amounted to 2,266,296 tonnes, with an increase of 8, 3% from January 2010. The Port Authority of Venice has announced that in January 2011, the commercial sector has registered growth of 18.8%, amounting to 165,700 tonnes, compared to the same month in 2009 which offset the decrease in traffic of the industrial sector (-73.5% of to 292,000 tonnes) of the Marghera linked to the performance.
- The cargo traffic grew by 12.8% to 649,329 tonnes (+12.8%). Also increasing the bulk liquid, which totaled 1,201,644 tons (+26.5%), an increase of 50.8% of crude oil and refined products +27.2% (+27.2%), while dry bulk decreased by 26.7% to 415,323 tons (cereals grew by 183.5%).
- Last month, the handling of containers amounted to 35,811 TEUs, an increase of 34.6% from 26,605 TEUs in January 2010.The Port Authority of Venice stated that the container traffic handled throughout 2010 has exceeded for the first time in the history of the port reached 400 thousand TEUs 403,119 TEUs compared to 393,913 TEUs previously counted in the final last year (
 's 11 January 2011).
- In the field of passenger traffic was 25,421 units (+165%), including 14,874 cruise passengers (114 cruise in January 2010).
