- Last month, the traffic of goods in the port of Genoa grew by 7.7%
- The containers were 144,824 teu (+9.4%). Increased volume in all sectors
 Last month, the traffic of goods in the port of Genoa grew by 7.7% to 4,249,953 tonnes compared to 3,945,186 tons in February 2010. The cargo amounted to a total of 2,135,907 tonnes (+10.0%), of which 1,473,484 tons of cargo in containers (+9.3%) and 662,423 tonnes of conventional cargo (+11.5%). The container handling in terms of box 20 'is equal to 144,824 teu (+9.4%).
- The dry bulk traffic was 167,937 tonnes (+21.1%) in addition to other 286,933 tons in the industrial sector (+2.1%). Mineral oils totaled 1,482,087 tons (+4.5%) and other liquid bulk 83,358 tons (+12.2%).
- Passenger traffic has remained fairly stable since the state of 75,782 units (+0.1%), of which 48,505 to the ferry terminal (+2.8%) and 27,277 at the cruise terminal (-4.3%).
- In the first two months of 2011 the goods traffic was 8,580,976 tons, up 11, 6% versus the same period last year.
