- Satisfaction of the Port of La Spezia for the agreement on the timing of loading and unloading
- The institution is committed within three weeks to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding
The Port Authority of La Spezia has expressed satisfaction with the preliminary agreement signed yesterday on the timing of loading and unloading in the port. The agreement was signed by all the transport associations except Trasportounito, believes that the weak and marginal ( of 6 April 2011).
- The port authority said that the parties have agreed on the need for a thorough examination of the questions raised, with particular attention to work safety, and welcomed the commitment of the Port Authority within three weeks to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding relative to the timing of loading and unloading in the port.
- The port authority said that the Protocol will be achieved through the convening of a technical panel that includes the participation of all interested members and will develop along the following lines:
- spot analysis and identification of ways of overcoming them;
- definition of the actions needed to promote a better distribution of traffic flows in relation to hours of operation of port facilities;
- definition of means of certification of transit times in the operational areas, which are valid against third parties;
- intensification of technological tools for the purposes specified above;
- definition of tools needed intensification of controls, even against the client, to establish respect for the rules on safety and labor law;
- further definition of good operating practices to be introduced in the loop port and operational documentation.
- The chairman of the Port Authority, Lorenzo Forcieri, confirmed the commitment of the institution to achieve the targets identified from the start within the next fortnight, the procedures for the concession of the services provided under the village in favor of truck drivers.
- At yesterday's meeting, held in the Prefecture, took part for the Port Authority, as well as Forcieri, the secretary general David Santini and the manager of the Mauritius Labour Pozella, and representatives of Confederation of La Spezia (Gianbattista Guelphs and the terminals marked Simonetti, Michele and Vincenzo Valente Giromini), Confartigianato La Spezia (Nicholas Carozza and Enzo Mergoni), Confartigianato Transport Rule (Antonio March), CNA La Spezia (Vittorio Bragazzi and Fausto Musetti) Trasportounito (Tagnochetti Joseph, and Daniel Paul Dima Boccuni ), Road Transport Committee (Umberto Crovara Teman and Gabriel) and Freight Forwarders Association (Sergio today).
