- In the Meyer Werft shipyard has started the construction of the cruise ship Celebrity Reflection
- "Celebrity Silhouette" will be the first ship of Celebrity Cruises to use Venice as its home port
 In recent days, was launched in the German shipyard Meyer Werft Celebrity Reflection of the building, the fifth ship in the class "Solstice" in autumn 2012 will join the fleet of Celebrity Cruises. At the ceremony of cutting the first sheet of the new ship was attended by the president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, Dan Hanrahan.
- In the same plant in Papenburg shipyard is building another in the final stage of ship for Celebrity Cruises: Celebrity is the Silhouette, fourth-class ship "Solstice" which will debut in July of this year.
- Next year, Celebrity Silhouette, which has a capacity of 2,886 passengers, will be the first ship of Celebrity Cruises to use Venice as its home port: the port lagoon will offer a series of cruises round trip cruises from Venice to Venice and Rome, all nights of 11-13 May to mid August 2012.
