- The muck of the third passage for filling the port of Genoa
- Nearly 1.8 million cubic meters for the reversal in the sea of Fincantieri, the area of Voltri and the pier decks and Libya Canepa
The Council of the Region of Liguria, on the proposal of Infrastructure Raffaella Paita, approved a resolution on the sites for filling with excavated material resulting from the completion of the third passage of Jupiter, the Genoa-Milan railway line 57 km long, of including 30 in the gallery, which is expected to open yards. The regional body said that, according to estimates, it will be just under six million cubic meters (quantity arising from the sun works in Liguria) of debris made of the "muck" of the tunnel.
- The resolution provides that regional nearly 1.8 million cubic meters of spoil are used in the port of Genoa. In particular, 500 thousand cubic meters will be filling in for the tipping into the sea of the establishment of Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente, other 820mila Voltri port area of 450 thousand and will be used for the construction of the wharf decks Libya and Canepa.
- For the remainder of the material, 800 thousand cubic meters will be used for the construction of an embankment to Shoemaker, and 2.3 million cubic yards of muck will be distributed in the quarries of Castellaro-Cravasco (2.2 million) and Buzzi Unicem- Old Furnace (one million).
- "With this act - said the commissioner Paita - Liguria Region concludes all actions under its jurisdiction for the Third Crossing, a project that has been restarted and is awaiting a final agreement between the FRY, the company of State Railways, and COCIV, the general contractor work. The real strength of the resolution is the fact that much of the muck will contribute to the construction of works such as the long awaited reversal in the sea of Fincantieri. It is an important choice to make a strategic infrastructure as the third passage can contribute to another of equal importance. "
- "It is - said Raffaella Paita - the choice of development that generates more development and a territory that does not mean giving up his vocation and industrial production.Liguria want to grow so we are spending all their energies to the planning and construction of new infrastructure projects to link the best and enable it to exercise fully the role of port logistics platform.
