- Started the Belgium-China freight rail link operated by Hupac, Russkaya Troyka Transport and Eurasia Good
- The project was sponsored by POM Antwerp, Antwerp Port Authority and by the Belgian Customs
 Since the beginning of this month, Belgium and China are connected by a rail freight service which was sponsored by POM Antwerp (Development Authority of the Province of Antwerp), Port Authority of Antwerp and the Belgian customs administration and is operated by Intermodal Swiss Hupac, from the Russian railway company Russkaya Troyka (RT) and the Chinese railway company Eurasia Good Transport Inc. (GT). The service links the port of Antwerp (with daily departures from the terminal combining) with the Chinese metropolis of Chongqing through Belgium, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Mongolia and China with a distance of 10,000 km.
- The project promoters have stressed that the sustainability of the service is linked to the presence of sufficient volumes of cargo in both directions and has been found, however, interest from several companies for shipments from Europe to China, report that presents the greatest uncertainty regarding customer demand.
- The new service firm Hupac further the links between, Russkaya Troyka Good Transport and Eurasia, co-operating for some years. RT is a joint venture between the Russian railway company Russian Railways (25% + one share), the Russian pension fund Blagosostayanie MFN (25% + one share) and the shipping group FESCO Russian and transportation (50%). GT is a joint venture between China National Silk Import & Export Corporation, Institute of Logistics and Transportation of CCTA, Xingchang Beijing High-Tech Development Co. Inc. and Century Top
