- The chairman of the Port of La Spezia has met the leaders of Italy Eurokai and Contship
- The objective of the meeting was to check the availability of the German group to invest in supporting the development of the Ligurian port
During a two-day mission to the Chairperson of the Hamburg Port of La Spezia, Lorenzo Forcieri, met with the President of the German group Eurokai, Thomas Eckelmann, and his wife Cecilia Eckelmann Batts, chairman of the group Contship Italy. The latter is controlled 66.6% of the capital by the same Eurokai and the remaining 33.4% by end-group Eurogate. Contship Italy operates several terminals in Italy, including those in the ports of Ravenna, Gioia Tauro, Salerno, Cagliari and La Spezia. In the Ligurian port group operates through its subsidiary La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) headed by Managing Director Mark Simon, who was recently delegated to the supervision and coordination of all the port terminals of Contship Italy.
- With the meeting, held today at the headquarters of the group Eurokai, Forcieri wanted to check the availability of the German group to invest in supporting the development of the port of La Spezia. The chairman of the Port of La Spezia has described the meeting as 'very satisfactory'.
- During the mission Forcieri has also visited the facilities of the new waterfront in Hamburg and information center dedicated to it.
