Over the next few days the Italian group Tarros will start a new weekly service direct to the port of Mersin on the Mediterranean coast in southern Turkey. In Italy the line will scale three ports: La Spezia Gulf Terminal (managed by Tarros), Amoruso Terminal in Salerno in travel to and from the terminal Co.na.te.co in Naples on the return journey.
- The port of Mersin, which until now has served as a transshipment route Tarros, is currently handled by PSA International of Singapore as a joint venture with Turkish Akfen Holdings and is the subject of a modernization program to increase the operational capacity, which in 2010 has exceeded one million TEUs of containers.
