- Completed the project "Welcome aboard" GNV and Genoa Port Center
- Aimed at CEL of Genoa, involved about 100 children from 15 to 20 years
It was concluded today, the project "Welcome aboard" developed by the Genoa Port Center, the exhibition and educational center of the port of Genoa, in collaboration with the shipping company Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) and addressed to the five CEL (Centre for Education in work) of the City of Genoa.
- The aim of the initiative, which kicked off last April 13 and that has helped about 100 children from 15 to 20 years to climb on board ships of NGV, was to discover the world of work with maritime experience. The draft guidance was based on the organization of guided tours to the business and professional Grandi Navi Veloci, enriched by meetings with members of the maritime company to explain to young visitors the process of work, skills required and how to undertake a training and experience in this field.
- At the conclusion of the project the Genoa Port Center hosted a lecture on the maritime cluster held by Renato Cause, responsible for Institutional Relations and Training GNV, with the intent to offer students a perspective on the various skills that make up the scope matittimo-port, purpose of the orientation of future career choices. The meeting was attended by a group of boys and girls during the visits has expressed particular interest in the field.
- The special project "Welcome aboard" is part of the project "Citizens of the Port" wanted and funded by the Province of Genoa and the Foundation for the dissemination of culture Carige port to the new generations.
