- Growth in rail freight traffic in North America
- In the first half of 2011 totaled 9,464,717 units train cars (+2.7%) and 6,976,674 trailers and containers units (+7.2%)
In the first half of this year the rail freight traffic in North America has grown over the first half of 2010, which was +2.7% for railway wagons, which totaled 9,464,717 units, and + 7.2% for the trailers and containers, amounted to 6,976,674 units. This was announced by the Association of American Railroads (AAR).
- In the first six months of 2011 traffic in the United States was 7,253,284 wagons (+2.8%) and 5,619,145 trailers and containers (+8.0%), while in Canada amounted to 1,850 .045 wagons (+2.1%) and 1,167,351 trailers and containers (+2.4%) and 361,388 wagons in Mexico (+4.3%) and 190,178 trailers and containers (+15.9% ).
