- The Spanish government authorized the privatization of the airports of Madrid Barajas and Barcelona El Prat Airport
- Green light to the partial privatization of Aena Aeropuertos
Today, the Spanish government has approved the tender for the privatization of the airports of Madrid Barajas and Barcelona El Prat Airport and the partial privatization of Aena Aeropuertos, public groups, which operates 47 airports in Spain and participates in the management of 28 other airfields abroad.
- The airports of Madrid and Barcelona will be on sale the 90.05% stake through a tender to be launched on 30 July and runs until the end of November. The granting of the two airports will have a duration of 20 years renewable for another five. Aena Aeropuertos will be transferred to a 49% stake.
