- The 51st International Boat Show will be held from 1 to 9 October at Fiera di Genova
- The event will bring 1,300 exhibitors and 2,000 boats
 The fifty-first edition of the International Boat Show will open next Saturday at the Fiera di Genova and will be inaugurated by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteoli. In the opening day will be prolonged up to 22.30 with a big party night which includes a concert orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Hall B on the terrace, musical moments, performances by street artists, studded with many events in the stands of exhibitors and a large fireworks end.
- 1,300 exhibitors will participate at the Show, 2,000 boats, of which 450 are floating and moored in the picturesque section 450 new models presented in preview, and will also present a range of ideas and commodities that embraces all areas of meeting the needs of all boating enthusiasts .
- As for the small boat, which represents 60% of all boats on display, the Boat Show will offer the canoes to inflatable boats, boats from fishing boats to the package to experience the passion of the sea at 360 °. In order to embrace all the needs of the public, the area devoted to the megayacht segment, which sees the Italian boating industry worldwide leader with the know-how and capacity to export top-level, will house 30 boats up to fifty meters length, real jewels of the shipbuilding industry.
- The field of sailing, which will count on the presence of 124 boats in water, for a total of 160 sailing boats on display, this year will result in the barycentric system of docks, with the pavilion Mondoinvela completely renovated and immediately available to visitors who choose the boat to arrive at the show.
- Among the novelties of 2011, the inclusion of sea trials of the boats at the dock G, gives the opportunity for sites to try out as many as 25 boats from 12 to 24 meters in length.
- The Boat Show will also offer TechTrade, the section on components and accessories, which during the weekend of October 3 and 4 will be given preferentially to B2B meetings between stakeholders in the marine industry.
- The event, which features a full program of conferences and side events will conclude on October 9.
- The exhibition will be open every day from 10.00 to 18.30. On 1 October, the event will be exceptionally open until 22.30 and from 18.30, you can only buy ticket to the coffers of the evening ticket at 12 euros and children under 10 years (if accompanied by an adult) will receive an entry free. During normal daytime hours instead of the Fair will be in force entry to 15 euros, reduced admission to 12 euros, for groups of at least 30 people, the military, the disabled and for children 6 to 10 years: children up to 5 years enter free.
