- Cooperation agreement between the Port Authority of Genoa and New York - New Jersey
- Its aim is to build an alliance to intercept the traffic from the Far East
Yesterday in New York harbor aboard the cruise ship MSC Poesia, MSC Cruises has signed an agreement between the Port Authority of Genoa and New York - New Jersey that aims to build an alliance to intercept greater traffic in the Far East.
- The ceremony took place under the direction of Claudio Bozzo, President of MSC young Genoese U.S., 170 people attended, representing the largest operators and the shipping industry worldwide. For Genoa, in addition to the Port Authority, was attended by representatives of companies and terminal operators SECH Genoa VTE. At the signing was also attended by the Italian consul in New York, Natalia Quintavalle.
- At the meeting, the leaders have visited the institution port of Genoa Port Newark Container Terminal, to verify the operational standards, and the group's headquarters in New York owner MSC.
- The Port Authority of Genoa said that currently the port of Genoa handles about 1,050,000 tons and exports to New York City, traffic is growing.
