- From saturday to the exhibition "From Cavour to Cavour"

- It is dedicated to the planning and shipbuilding in Italy over 140 years

Next saturday near the Arsenal of the Navy to, to the presence of the head commander of the Marine Military Department of the Tyrrhenian High, city authority and vice admiral Andrea Campregher, maximum, will be inaugurated the illustrative exhibition "From Cavour to Cavour" dedicated to the planning and shipbuilding in Italy over 140 years. The exhibition is organized from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Genoa in the within of the celebrations of the 140 years from the foundation of the direction Naval High school, with the competition of the Italian Navy and with the sponsorship of the Province and the Municipality of La Spezia.-
- The chosen name for the exhibition allows to tie two between the more meaningful moments for the development of the naval technology in Italy: the decision to constitute to La Spezia a Military Arsenal for the baby Italian Navy and the commissioning of the most modern aircraft carriers of the Italian Navy, than in both cases is recalled to Cavour.

- On an exhibition front of beyond 200 linear meters, historical models, designs of age, technical cards, machinery originals, photo and films they will lead the visitor to travel over again the development of the technique and naval means and to know its protagonists.

- "We have thought to this exhibition - it has explained the headmaster of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Genoa, Paola Girdinio - because we consider that to value many documents and objects that testify the development of the shipbuilding in Italy, where the University, the Navy, the industry have reached repeated excellence and innovation primates, it is reason of stimulus and encouragement in order to revitalize a field that can offer to new development and resumption occasions". "I wish to thank - it has added - the Italian Navy, that it has collaborated to the organization of this exhibition and accommodates it in one of its more representative installations, and the public institutions and the thick number of enterprises of the field that with their contribution has returned the realization of the exhibition possible".

- The exhibition, with free income, will be open all the sabati ones. During the period of opening Auditoriums of the Arsenal will hold in the Room conferences on naval and marine technical and historical topics. The visit will be possible also in other week days for organized groups subject to agreement with the organization of the exhibition.
