- Al port of Venice has taken to the way European plan INWAPO

- It promotes the increase of competitiveness of the alternatives to the transport on road

 Al port of Venice has taken to the way European plan INWAPO (Upgrading of Inland Waterway and Sea Ports), initiative turns to promote a better coordination between the several subjects involved in the increase of competitiveness of the alternatives to the transport on road, in the perspective to value the collaboration in the multimodale logistic field.-
- The Harbor Authority of Venice, front man of the initiative, accommodates the launch event that sees the presence of the president of the Authority Harbor, Paolo Costa, and of the representatives of the regional councillorships to the Transports and the Inland navigation and harbor and the Budget and the transfrontaliera and transnational cooperation of the Region of Veneto and the director of the Technical Secretariat of the Program "Central Europe", Luca Ferrarese. The president of the port of Rijeka, Bojan Hlaèa participates to the intense activities also, that he is president of turn of NAPA, the Association of the Ports of the Adriatic North that joins the ports of call of Venice, Trieste, Ravenna, Koper and Rijeka.

- INWAPO is approved of in the within of the ban for strategic plans of the European Program of Territorial Cooperation "Central Europe" 2007-2013 and is financed for beyond 3,8 million euros.
- The initiative aimed at the improvement of accessibility of the Regions of European Headquarters by means of actions in support of infrastructural investments in the marine and fluvial ports of the area and times to the activation of new services of multimodale transport.

- Besides the five ports of NAPA, they take part of INWAPO: Ministries of Transportation of the Czech Republic and Hungary, ministry of Navigation Austrian-Via Donau, Agency Industrialization East North, port of Vienna, Czech Region of Usti, Polish Region of the Mazowia, Association of the Slovakian internal ports and Company of inland navigation of Slovakia, port of Budapest and Harbor Authority, Ministry of Transportation Slovenian of Rijeka and Città of Vienna.

- In such perspective INWAPO it is connected with the European Strategy of the Danube: the partnership of plan it reunites in fact important interlocutors of the field of the navigable ways and of it unwind intermodal of the Danube area; the initiative represents moreover an instrument of promotion of the economic and social development of the involved territories.
