The greater number of transits is carried out by ships portacontainer, than last year they have been 7,178 units (+4.8%), continuations from the oil tankers with 3.509 units (- 1.2%), rinfusiere with 2.601 units (- 6.5%) from the ships LNG with 1.083 units (+26.7%) and from the ships garage with 1.013 units (+0.9%).-
- In the 2011 ships in transit in the channel they transported 691.800.000 tons of goods, with an increment of 7.1% regarding the year precedence. The ships that have crossed the channel in the direction north-south in transit transported 334.610.000 tons (+5.2%) and those in the direction south-north 357.190.000 tons (+8.9%).
