- In the 2011 containerizzato marine traffic from and for Europe it has grown of 6.4%

- The exports are increased of +8.6% and the imports of +4.7%

Last year the companies of shipowning that operate services of line from and for Europe have transported containerizzati volumes pairs to 39.745.800 teu, with an increase of 6.4% regarding 2010. The consistency of such volumes of traffic, that it is found by Container Trades Statistics (CTS), is subdivided in a volume of exports from Europe pairs to 17.317.200 teu (+8.6%) and in a volume of imports in Europe pairs to 22.428.600 teu (+4.7%).-
- On the relation eastbound Europe-Asia 6.052.500 teu (+7.5%) and on that westbound Asia-Europe 13.920.700 teu (+3.3% are transported). The traffic with the America North has been pairs to 3.369.100 teu in export from Europe (+8.4%) and to 2.865.600 teu in import in Europe (+3.4%).

- The European exports and containerizzate imports with the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East have totaled respective 2.941.700 teu (+8.1%) and 1.988.300 teu (+9.4%). The intra-European traffic has been pairs to 1.364.900 teu in export (+2.5%) and to 1.010.400 teu in import (+9.1%).

- On the routes with the central and southern America 1.489.700 teu are transported in export by Europe (+9.1%) and 1.653.100 teu in import (+9.7%). The volumes exchanged with Australia and Oceania have been pairs to 468.200 teu in export (+5.9%) and 196,500 teu in import (+3.0%), while those with the sub-Saharan area and Africa have totaled respective 1.631.100 teu (+21.5%) and 794,000 teu (+7.3%).
