Signed the understanding for the sdemanializzazione of the Old Port of Trieste and for the passage of the areas to the Municipality



Yesterday to Trieste the Harbour Authority, the Municipality, the Region Friuli Venice Julia, the Agency of the Federal property, the Civil Genius and the Harbour office have undersigned the understanding that currently characterizes the marine state property areas of pertinence of the harbour authority that will be sdemanializzate and assigned to the Municipality of Trieste. As expected from the law of stability 2015, the areas and the buildings of the Old Port, excluded the center of the Harbour office, Pier IV will pass to the municipal administration all, Pier III, the Adriaterminal, Pier 0, the old Dam, the next coastal belt the first row of the historical warehouses and the zone of earthwork of Barcola, where the sport societies are situated.

"Trieste - the extraordinary commissioner of the Harbour Authority has commented, Zeno D' Augustin - wants and can to change. "The Association of the Shippers of the port of Trieste - Visintin has explained - considers that the enforced norm allows with the Harbour Authority and the commissioner of the government in the Region Friuli Venice Julia to adopt independently the provisions necessary in order to define the administrative organization for the management of the free points of the Carriage free of Trieste, let alone the relative powers of the president of the Harbour Authority of Trieste/director of the Carriage free, the modalities for the displacement of the Franco Vecchio Point and the location of the new areas in which activating or the new Free points. Being so characterized in the Harbour Authority of Trieste and its president (or commissioner) the subject administrator and guarantor of the special regime of the Carriage free, ASPT ASTRA FVG wishes that full performance is given to the prerogatives of the same Carriage free finally, included the possibility to inside carry out operations of manipulation and industrial transformation".

"Premised that, made exception for the "Franco Industriale Point", the Free points of the Carriage free of Trieste must be subject to the administration of the Harbour Authority of Trieste - has concluded Visintin - the association consider this will facilitate the so-called "transfer" of the regime of carriage free from the areas of the Franco Vecchio Point to other situated areas in the territorial within of the province of Trieste, in so far as features of adapted harbour areas to the marine commercial traffics or of retroportuali areas functional connected to the harbour areas".
