Il porto di Hong Kong conferma la sua leadership mondiale nel settore container

Nel 2003 movimentati 20.449.000 teu (+6,8%). Il traffico merci è ammontato a 207,6 milioni di tonnellate (+8%)

Nel quarto trimestre dello scorso anno il porto di Hong Kong ha movimentato 5,4 milioni di teu, con una progressione del 6% rispetto al corrispondente periodo del 2002.

I dati definitivi sul traffico portuale totalizzato lo scorso anno dal porto asiatico - comunicati oggi il Census and Statistics Department di Hong Kong - mostrato per l'intero 2003 una movimentazione pari a 20.449.000 teu (+6,8% rispetto al 2002), un volume di traffico che conferma la leadership mondiale del porto di Hong Kong nel settore container. Nel 2003 la movimentazione di container pieni è aumentata dell'8% a 16,5 milioni di teu, mentre i container vuoti sono cresciuti del 2% a 3,9 milioni di teu. Gli sbarchi e gli imbarchi di container pieni sono aumentati rispettivamente del 10% e del 6% a 7,6 milioni e 8,9 milioni di teu.

Lo scorso anno il porto di Hong Kong ha registrato un traffico merci complessivo di 207,6 milioni di tonnellate, con un incremento dell'8% rispetto al 2002. Le importazioni e le esportazioni sono cresciute rispettivamente del 7% e del 9% a 128,6 milioni e 79,1 milioni di tonnellate.

Nel 2003 sono arrivate nel porto di Hong Kong 35.790 navi oceaniche e 182.270 navi fluviali, in entrambi i casi un numero analogo a quello del 2002. E' invece aumentata la capacità, che per le navi oceaniche è salita del 2% a 300,5 milioni di tonnellate di stazza netta e per le navi fluviali è cresciuta dell'11% a 85,7 miioni di tonnellate di stazza netta.

Nello scorso mese di gennaio, intanto, il porto di Hong Kong ha movimentato 1.692.000 teu, con una flessione dello 0,9% rispetto al gennaio 2003.
