Il porto di Civitavecchia ospiterà una conferenza internazionale sulla riduzione dell'inquinamento acustico nelle aree portuali
Prevista la partecipazione dei rappresentanti di numerosi porti europei
L'11 e il 12 giugno prossimi, presso l'Autorità Portuale di Civitavecchia, si svolgerà la conferenza internazionale del progetto "NoMEPorts", che è incentrato sulla riduzione dell'inquinamento acustico nelle aree portuali.
Il convegno, al quale parteciperanno rappresentanti di numerosi porti europei, è parte integrante di un progetto sponsorizzato dalla fondazione EcoPorts, che utilizzando i fondi del programma "Life" dell'Unione Europea studia le modalità operative per la riduzione dell'impatto inquinante dei porti sulle città che li ospitano.
Nel corso dell'incontro verranno presentati alcuni studi realizzati per l'applicazione pratica delle direttive comunitarie sulla riduzione del rumore nei porti europei.
Il convegno sarà aperto da Herman Journèe, del porto di Amsterdam, presidente della Fondazione Ecoports. Di rilievo poi gli interventi di Roel Hoenders, rappresentante dell'ESPO (European Sea Ports Organisation), che illustrerà le direttive comunitarie in materia di porti e inquinamento, e quello di Ton Van Breemen, coordinatore del progetto NoMEPorts, che presenterà i risultati degli studi realizzati per la riduzione dell'inquinamento acustico.
Previsti inoltre interventi di rappresentanti dell'Università di Cardiff, del porto di Amburgo e dell'Autorità Portuale spagnola di La Coruña.
