- Assiscorte denounces the decline of transport security outstanding on the roads

 Assiscorte, the Association of Business Assistance Transport Outstanding Stocks and associated Confetra, has launched an alarm for the reduction of transport safety on the roads exceptional determined by the new disciplinary field.

- In particular, among the main critical points of the amendment to the Ordinance, Assiscorte stressed the difficulty in maintaining the standards of road safety, given that the new directive revises the composition of stocks and reduces the number of drivers / vehicles are used. He also highlighted the lack of checks by the Traffic Police Department / Prefecture, the tightening of measures for the suspension of permits and fines and the obligation to undertake the renewal of approval, instead of training.
- In a letter to Interior Minister, Roberto Maroni, and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteoli, Assiscorte asked to always provide a driver (or a second enabled) as the minimum size for stocks with exceptional transport, to predict a database of companies authorized and empowered to allow the Traffic Police checks in real time to completely review the penalties provided for that - according to the association - are at the limit unconstitutional and to introduce a training course with compulsory attendance.
- Assiscorte recalled that even the Confetra (Italian General Confederation of Transport and Logistics), on behalf of the associations had asked for more restrictive provisions on the specification that took account of operational realities and ensuring road safety.
