- First workshop of the project interim recovery of sediments resulting from dredging port
- It will be held tomorrow in Rome
 Tomorrow in Rome, at the congress hall Cavour, the first workshop will be held on the draft interim recovery of sediments resulting from dredging Port Authority and production of silicon (Sedi.Port.Sil), which aims to demonstrate the sustainable management of sediments dredged from the ports through an integrated approach and to demonstrate the effectiveness of established treatment technologies coupled with innovative techniques aimed at recycling and exploitation of sediments dredged from the docks, which can then be seen as an important resource rather than a hazardous waste.
- During the conference, which will aim to present the objectives and the progress of the project, each of the organizations and companies that make up the partnership will have the opportunity to explain its role within the project and the activities conducted or planned. The training day will also be enriched by experiences in other Italian and European projects.
- The project, which was launched eight months ago with the presentation held last December in Ravenna, is funded by the European Community under the "LIFE + Environment Policy and Governance 2009" and co-financed by the Port Authority of Ravenna. Beneficiary of the project is Med Ingegneria Srl, the project partners are the universities of Bologna and Ferrara, Diemme Ltd, Ispra, the Po Delta Park Emilia-Romagna and GeoEcoMar (Romania).
