In the first half of this year the group Cargotec has achieved a net profit of 78.7 million euros on revenues of 1,558 million euros, with increases of 154% and 31% over the first half of 2010. Operating profit amounted to 104.6 million euros (+106%).
In the second quarter of 2011, the Finnish group has reported a net profit of 42.5 million euros and an operating profit of EUR 54.0 million on revenues of 795 million euros, an increase of 101%, respectively, 45 and 25% % over the period from June to April of last year.
In the first six months of this year the group has forfeited new orders for a total of 1,580 million euros compared to 1,330 million euros in the first half of 2010. Cargotec produces and sells lifting equipment for the industry and port terminal operator under the brand name Kalmar, for the marine sector under the brand name MacGregor and for the industry and road building with the brand Hiab. In the industrial sector and Terminal (Hiab and Kalmar) the band recorded new orders for 1,048 million euros (+25% on first half 2010), while the Marine Division (MacGregor) new orders totaled 534 million euros (+9 %).
In the second quarter of this year the group has raised new orders for 761 million euros (+4% over second quarter 2010), of which 513 million euros for the Industrial & Terminal (+21%) and 248 million euros for the Marine Division (-20%).
The group's order book at 30 June last year had a value of 2.306 billion euros compared to 2.433 billion euros at the end of the first half of 2010.
