The company's Paul Gauguin Cruises Pacific Beachcomber hotel group, which has a network of hotels in French Polynesia, bought the luxury cruise ship Le Levant company Compagnie du Ponant of the French shipping group CMA CGM. The unit, which is 100 meters long and 14 meters wide, has 45 passenger cabins and a capacity of 90 passengers and 55 crew members.
The ship, which will be renamed Moana, will undergo renovations that will be completed in November 2012 and from next month the unit will be used by Paul Gauguin Paul Gauguin Cruises accompany the currently the only ship of the company.
Paul Gauguin Cruises plans to use the Moana in the Mediterranean during the summer months and in the Caribbean and Latin America during winter.
Recall that in recent days Compagnie du Ponant has ordered the construction of a new ultra-luxury cruise ship group Fincantieri, an Italian marine mechanics ( of 21 September 2011).
