The Czech Republic could participate to the project of potenziamento of the railway line Divaca-Koper, in Slovenia, to the aim to assure an improvement of the connection of the Czech market with the port of Koper. Such possibility is shown yesterday in the course of an encounter to Praga between the Prime Ministers of Republic Ceca and Slovenia, Bohuslav Sobotka and Miro Cerar.
In the course of the reunion the important importance of the port of Koper for the Czech Republic is evidenced and therefore the remarkable importance of the project of modernization and increase of ability to the railway connection Divaca-Koper with the construction of a second line that would allow a more intensive use of the Slovenian port by the Czech operators.
From part its Slovenian prime Minister has confirmed that the project is proceeding. The construction of the second railway line would allow to reduce the distance via track between the port of Koper and Divaca from current the 45,5 kilometers to 27,1 kilometers, to diminish transit the Time from 43-48 to 15-21 minutes and to increase the speed on the draft from 70 to 160 kilometers per hour.
