- Cargotec starts 2022 with financial results and orders in
growth

- Revenues increased by +16.6%

After giving up the merger with compatriot Konecranes
given that the project was rejected by the authority
ANTITRUST of the United Kingdom and after announcing the decision to
abandon the heavy port crane sector and sell the
MacGregor division, the Finnish group Cargotec looks ahead
in the wake of the positive results obtained in the first quarter of
this year, period that the manufacturer of means of
handling filed with revenues of 850.9 million
euro, up +16.6% on the same period of 2021. The only one
Hiab division, which manufactures and markets handling equipment
for the construction, industrial and
of transport, recorded revenues of 340 million euros
(+18.5%), the Kalmar division, active in the crane segment for
port, intermodal, logistic and industrial sectors, has
totaled revenues of 372 million euros (+14.8%), and the
MacGregor division, which produces handling systems and means
for ships and offshore plants, recorded revenues of 140
million euros (+17.6%).-
- Group operating profit amounted to EUR 37.5 million
of euro (+53.1%), with a contribution of 43.5 million from Hiab (+31.4%),
of 22.7 million from Kalmar (+26.1%) and with a contribution of sign
negative for -5.7 million by MacGregor (-7.9 million in the
third quarter 2021). Net profit amounted to 21.1
million euros (+119.8%).

- In the first three months of 2022 the group acquired new orders
for a total value of 1.13 billion euros (+1.8%), of which
499 million for Kalmar (-5.7%), 482 million for Hiab (+13.4%) and 154
millions for MacGregor (-4.3%). New orders for services have
amounted to 307 million euros (+2.7%). As of March 31, the
value of the order book was 3.15 billion euros (+42.1%),
of which 1.45 billion related to Kalmar (+37.9%), 1.12 billion to
Hiab (+75.2%) and 577 million to MacGregor (+10.1%).
