International Register, Confitarma applauds italy's transposition of European flag standards
The new standard - underlines the Confederation - promotes employment and business consolidation

"The new norm, which in fact anticipates issues that should have been addressed at the beginning of 2023 during the renewal of the expiry of the International Register - observes Confitarma - promotes the employment of seafarers and consolidation company of maritime transport companies rooted in Italy. This positive result for the development of the Blue Economy is to be attributed also to the fruitful collaboration between the representatives of Italian shipping companies and the Management General for Maritime Transport of the MIMS and determination of Minister Giovannini to whom goes the recognition of the whole sector.
'Pending the publication of the decree-law, the subsequent conversion into law and implementing decrees - concludes the Confederation - it is hoped that the innovation process of the international registry standard gives further impetus to the process of debureaucratization and simplification of the procedures that govern the operation of Italian flag ships at the in order to eliminate the administrative gap that continues to remain in the in respect of fleets registered in the EU/EEA registers.'
