
In Fincantieri's Marghera shipyard,
Oceania Sonata, the cruise ship of
next-generation luxury under construction for the Oceania company
Cruises. Delivery of the unit is scheduled for
2027. With a gross tonnage of approximately 86,000 tons and a capacity
of 1,390 passengers, the ship is the first unit of the

new "Sonata" class that has been developed
on the "Allura" class consisting of
the Oceania
Vista and
Oceania Allura which were made by
Fincantieri at the Sestri Ponente shipyard and delivered
in 2023 and 2025 respectively.
The "Sonata" class includes the construction of other
four sister ships: Oceania Arietta, which will enter
fleet in 2029, and three additional units with
deliveries expected in 2032, 2035 and 2037.
So far, the Marghera shipyard has built 36
cruise since 1991 and today employs about 6,000 people every day,
between direct employees and workers of partner companies.
