
The Philippine terminal group International Container
Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has signed an agreement with the African
Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM), asset manager
specialized in infrastructure investments in Africa, for
buy the entire share capital of TLG Acquisition Holdings,
port company operating under the brand The
Logistics Group (TLG) in Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa.
Currently, TLG's capital is held by AIIM
through South African AIIF4 General Partner Proprietary funds
Ltd. and IDEAS Infrastructure II GP Proprietary Ltd. respectively
with shares of 74% and 26%.
TLG was founded in 2019 through the spin-off of
logistics division of the South African Capespan controlled by Zeder
Investments Ltd., but its activity dates back to the 80s
when it operated in South African ports, initially mainly in the
fruit and vegetable export service. Currently
the company operates in solid and liquid bulk traffic,
breakbulk and special cargo, containers, and manages warehouses as well as
docks and port terminals. In addition, it offers road transport and
railway and has its own railway rolling stock for
cross-border services.
