Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) transported cargo
containerized for a total of 2.12 million TEUs, a volume that
represents an increase of +9.0% over the same period in 2025 and
is the highest ever for this quarter
of the year. These transports generated revenues of 3.28
billion dollars, a figure that is +45.1% higher
compared to that totaled in the third quarter of 2025 and is
the third highest ever for this time of year
being lower only than those recorded in 2022 and 2021
when sea freight rates had reached historic peaks in the period
following the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the period July-September 2026, OOCL ships
transported 595 thousand TEUs on transpacific routes alone (+13.1%), and
In this market, revenues amounted to 1.44 billion
dollars (+71.8%). On the Asia-Europe routes, the volumes transported were
amounted to 399 thousand TEUs (+15.4%) and the related revenues amounted to
to $695.8 million (+45.0%). Traffic handled on the
transatlantic routes was 147 thousand TEUs (+7.3%), with
revenues of $201.8 million (+11.9%). Services
intra-Asian and with Australasia transported 981 thousand TEUs
(+4.6%) with revenues of $947.6 million (+23.7%).
