    All 93 passengers were rescued when a small cruiseship struck a rock and started to sink in Alaska, writes David Mott. The passengers and most of the 27 crew boarded inflatable rafts and were shuttled to a nearby ship. Nine crew members stayed on board to help with pumping . The vessel was lying with her stern on a small beach. Coast Guard Commander Ray Massey said no oil appeared to have leaked from the damaged vessel. "We've been lucky so far. Hopefully we will get the vessel out of there without any pollution and with no injuries," he said.

Aussi les efforts que déploie le port de Gand dans ce domaine méritent-ils d'être mis en évidence, car c'est un des rares ports européens qui, effectivement, fait de la promotion pour le short sea.
