    Le dernier round de négociations mené ces dernières semaines a finalement permis de conclure: le groupe PSA Corporation de Singapour s’est assuré d’une forte majorité de contrôle, qu’on peut évaluer à plus de 60%, dans la future entité HesseNoord Natie, qui doit naître de la fusion des deux grands manutentionnaires anversois. Un accord préliminaire en ce sens a été signé hier jeudi à Anvers. Il est entendu que le groupe CMB et des actionnaires de la Noord Natie restent impliqués dans la nouvelle société, mais d’une manière très minoritaire, leur participation se situant entre 20 et 25%. De même, la SNCB reste actionnaire dans cette nouvelle entité, même si les modalités de cette participation doivent encore être discutées. Le fait que cette perspective de fusion et de reprise dans le cadre d’un projet dit “industriel” a mis si longtemps à prendre forme concrète, peut se comprendre, compte tenu de la diversité des intérêts en jeu, de la complexité des problèmes posés et, surtout, de l’importance de l’enjeu, la valeur de ladite entité étant évaluée entre 23,4 milliards de BEF (580 millions d’EUR) et 26,20 mia. de BEF (650 mio. d’EUR). L’accord en question ne deviendra définitif que lorsque les autorités compétentes belges auront donné leur feu vert. Peut-être faudra-t-il attendre aussi celui de la Commission européenne.

Cette acquisition n’est pas la première: Alloin a entre autres déjà procédé au rachat en août dernier de son correspondant dans le Sud-Ouest. De plus, il s’est implanté en Belgique via la société bruxelloise Widem, acquise en juin.

Il s’avère que les directions des ports d’Anvers, Gand et Zeebrugge ont adressé aux ministres responsables une lettre de protestation en bonne et due forme.

    L’Organisation belge des Transporteurs Multimodaux (O.T.M.), ainsi que divers représentants de l’industrie ont manifesté leur opposition à la requête introduite par les transports routiers auprès du ministère des Affaires économiques. Le protocole d’accord de septembre 2000 relatif au prix élevé du diesel prévoit notamment l’introduction d’une clause de révision des prix. Les chargeurs n’acceptent pas de ne pas avoir été impliqués dans les discussions. Ils veulent être entendus et il est déjà établi que l’affaire sera portée devant le Conseil à la Concurrence.
