La Commission européenne approuve l'octroi du crédit-pont à DAT La Commission européenne a autorisé le gouvernement belge à accorder le crédit-pont de 125 millions d'EUR (5 milliards de BEF) à DAT. Ce montant ne pourra toutefois être utilisé que pour couvrir les dépenses courantes et ne pourra servir à une restructuration. Cette décision constitue cependant une étape importante en vue de la création d'une nouvelle compagnie aérienne belge.

Dunkerque: Sea-Invest relance l'activité au QPO Le groupe gantois Sea-Invest, qui figure parmi les grands spécialistes européens de la manutention portuaire de pondéreux, vient de procéder à Dunkerque à l'inauguration du Sea-Bulk Terminal. Il a investi 1,3 milliard de BEF (30 millions d'EUR) dans la modernisation de cette installation (l'ancien Quai à Pondéreux Ouest- QPO), ce qui a impliqué notamment l'apport de nouveaux équipements - notamment un portique - et l'aménagement de capacités de stockage supplémentaires.
Singapour affiche un recul de 11,3% après neuf mois A la fin septembre, le trafic containérisé transitant par le port de Singapour avait chuté de 11,3% par rapport aux neuf premiers mois de l'année dernière, indique la presse locale, qui se base sur des données publiées par la Maritime & Port Authority. Ce chiffre représente un léger redressement vis-à-vis du résultat enregistré à la fin juin, lorsque la baisse par rapport à 2000 était encore de 13%. C'est dû à la meilleure tenue de l'activité au troisième trimestre, où la perte de terrain est restée limitée à 8,2%.
