Les ports de l’UE pourraient connaître quelques perturbations ce mardi C’est le 10 ooctobre prochain que doit avoir lieu au sein de la commission Transport du parlement européen un vote sur le projet de directive sur les services portuaires. En fait, il s’agit pour ladite commission de remettre un avis qui sera alors soumis pour appréciation à la réunion plénière du parlement, ce qui devrait intervenir en novembre. A son tour le parlement formulera un avis à soumettre au conseil des ministres, ce qui devrait se situer début 2002 alors que l’UE sera sous présidence espagnole. Le processus prévoit également une deuxième lecture au parlement suivi d’un avis au Conseil des ministres avant mise en application. On sait que quelque 280 amendements ont été déposés qui vont évidemment alimenter la discussion. Néanmoins, le fait que le processus entre maintenant dans une phase plus cruciale incite certaines organisations syndicales européennes représentant les dockers à faire pression pour faire entendre leur point de vue et ce via une interruption de travail ce mardi, de 12 à 15 h.
