Le groupe américain Wabash, qui est le plus grand constructeur du monde, possédait une option pour l’acquisition de 50% des actions, mais ne l’a pas exercée à son échéance à fin octobre. Cette reprise devait constituer ses premiers pas sur le marché européen, mais il a apparemment décidé de pas s’attaquer au Vieux Continent. La coopération technique entre Krone et Wabash, par contre, se poursuivra.
