The volcanic fallout-induced near week-long paralysis of European air travel caused unprecedented widespread disruption - but every volcanic ash-laden cloud has a silver lining and in this case it is an ill Icelandic wind that has blown some good news in the direction of container shipping; providing it is up to the challenge.
