- Strong contraction of traffic enlivened by the terminals of the
Russian Global Ports

- In the first quarter the containerized volumes in the terminals of the
Baltic decreased by -15.8%

Russia's Global Ports Investments announced today that in the
first quarter of this year the port traffic of containers in
Russia amounted to 1.31 million teu, with an increase
of +1.7% on the same period of 2021 which is the result of the
growth of +16.2% recorded in the first two months of 2022 alone in
followed by a drop of -22% in March due to
of the ongoing geopolitical crisis and the reduction of the airports of
ships to Russian ports.-
- Global Ports has specified that its port terminals have
enlivened 363 thousand teu, with a decrease of -2.0% which is
was produced by the reduction of -15.8% of traffic in terminals
of the Baltic Sea basin which was partially
offset by the increase of +29.7% of the traffic enlivened by the
branch Vostochnaya Stevedoring Co. (VSC) in the port of Vostochny,
in the Russian Far East.

- In addition, bulk traffic enlivened by the terminals
of the company in the first quarter of 2022 decreased by
-62.3% being amounted to 475 thousand tons, contraction that is
was generated mainly by the cessation of handling
of coal at the VSC terminal in the third quarter of last year
year. Volumes of rolling stock and passenger cars also declined
moved by the terminals attested respectively to 4,300 units
(-28.8%) and 18,400 units (-35.5%).
